Suite of 10 ‘light drawings’
Acetate mounted on Bockingford watercolour paper
Each 20.5 x 29.5cm
Drawings created through simple manipulation of the light from a photocopier as it registers folds and marks in paper arranged on its glass plate. These works represent an intimate engagement with luminosity and mark Bradley’s return to studio-based practice. The title references the birds in Georges Braque’s ‘studio’ paintings.
First shown in ‘Airports for the Lights, Shadows and Particles’ at the Bluecoat, Liverpool, UK (2011).
