‘Threshold’, a new commission for Kaunas, European Capital of Culture 2022
I am delighted to be commissioned to create ‘Threshold’ a sculpture project which will be part of the cultural programme for Kaunas, Lithuania as part of the City’s year as European Capital of Culture. My project draws from the concept of mezuzah, a small ritual object fixed to the doors of Jewish homes to mark the passage between private/sacred space and public/secular space.
