Threshold – opening of my project for Kaunas’s Year as European Capital of Culture
Threshold is a sculpture project centred on the mezuzah, a ritual Jewish object attached to the doors of Jewish homes and businesses. Before the Holocaust the mezuzah was a common sight on Kaunas’s streets. Threshold re-introduces the mezuzah and its concepts to Kaunas public realm through a participatory project which brings to light the city’s Jewish heritage.
